MERCEDES - A 19-year-old bicyclist is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle.

The incident happened near Mile 2 East. CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told the driver stopped to render aid and is not facing charges at this time. Authorities are trying to figure out how the crash happened. An investigation is ongoing.
