DACA Recipients React to Supreme Court Decision
MISSION – Supreme Court judges announced they will not make any decisions about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program on Tuesday.
KRGV’s Angelo Vargas explains what this means for DACA recipients in the Rio Grande Valley.
"We're the product of crimes because our parents brought us here, because the parents came here illegally but we're not a crime. We're here not to do any harm,” explains DACA recipient Lesli Velazquez.
The Supreme Court’s decision gives her a sense of relief.
Immigration attorney Lionel Perez says DACA recipient protections will be the same until a new court case arises.
