Deadline for Border Wall Plans Extended to April 4
WESLACO - The government extended the deadline for companies to turn in border wall plans.
Builders were expected to submit their bids by Thursday, March 29. But U.S. Customs and Border Protection said they’ve added a 6-day extension, pushing the date to April 4.
CBP said the extension will allow companies time to consider dozens of questions potential bidders submitted.
Contractors were asked to submit proposals for a wall that would be 30 feet high and would be difficult to climb or cut through.
