WESLACO - Flood victims in Weslaco are still waiting for debris to get picked up.

Esequiel Navarro lives in the Las Brisas neighborhood; he says he was forced to rebuild once again after last year’s flooding and now this year’s floods.

"They told us, put the debris out here. We do as we're told; they haven't picked it up," says Navarro.

Neighbors started throwing their own trash on top of Navarro’s, making the problem worse.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS went to the City of Weslaco and contacted their Public Works Department.

They told us they had to schedule a pickup with the city's contractor, republic services.

They say when Navarro first called, his call was routed to the wrong department and a work order was never started.

"I just need help on this and that's it."
