MISSION - Killam Development, which recently acquired about 3,400 acres of land in south Mission and south McAllen, will hold a series of public workshops next week.

Killiam wants to develop a master plan for the property, which may include residential neighborhoods, parks, retail stores and industrial areas near the Anzalduas bridge. As part of the development process, the company has invited the public to participate in a series of design workshops.

The public workshops will be held at the Mission CEED on Jan. 13, 15, and 17 at 6:30 p.m.

The family-owned company first requested the public’s input in December.

Killam has been in business for more than 100 years in South Texas.
