DHR to Host 12th Annual "Fishing For Hope" Tournament
The Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (DHR) is hosting “Fishing for Hope” Tournament on Saturday, October 21. This event is family-friendly and a fun event for people of all ages. This year’s tournament will feature a live concert, dinner, the legendary stars auction, and much more! All proceeds from “Fishing for Hope” will once again benefit the Hope Family Health Center (HFHC). This event starts at NOON and ends at 3:00 P.M.
HFHC is located in McAllen and is run by local volunteer physicians and staff, all of which provide their time and services without charge. HFHC provides free health services in an open and accepting atmosphere to all persons living in the Rio Grande Valley who are without access to health care or medical insurance. As our community grows, so do our medical and health care needs—the physicians and staff at DHR have acknowledged this and have come together to contribute to this worthy cause.
Over the past 11 years, DHR has donated more than $2.02 million to HFHC through the “Fishing for Hope” Tournament, helping the health center continue its mission of ensuring that each person who enters their doors reaches maximum health and self-sufficiency.
