Donna Votes for New Leaders in Runoff Election

DONNA – The votes are in and there are new city leaders in Donna.

For mayor, Rick Morales defeated Simon Sauceda.

Morales received 1,141 votes and 54 percent of the vote; Sauceda with 965 votes and 4 percent of the vote.

The other runoff race was for Donna Councilmember Place 3.

Arturo Castillo won the contest over Guadalupe Bueno.

Castillo received 1,111 votes to Bueno’s 974 votes.
