Dove Hunters Shoot in Close Proximity to La Feria Home
LA FERIA – Dove hunting season is officially underway in the Rio Grande Valley.
A La Feria woman says irresponsible hunters put a family’s life at risk.
Over the weekend, May Jaramillo says she heard shots being fired outside.
At the time, the family who rents out part of her land was outside having dinner.
“They said the BBs were hitting us here and I had to send the kids inside. She said they were hitting her in the face and on the head. They were hitting the food and everything,” says Jaramillo.
KRGV’s Trason Bragg reached out to the Texas Game Warden’s Office to speak with Captain James Dunks.
Dunks explains once the BBS entered Jaramillo’s property, the hunter committed a crime called trespass by projectile, a Class C misdemeanor.
