EDINBURG – An investigation is underway into a deadly overnight two-vehicle accident in Edinburg.

Department of Public Safety Lt. Johnny Hernandez says a motorcycle and a four-door vehicle collided head-on.

CHANNEL 5 NEWS is told 52-year-old Jessie Gazca Alvarez was killed at the scene. 

It happened around 2 a.m. Friday west of the intersection of Monte Cristo and Brushline roads. 

No word on what may have led to the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
