DPS Special Agents Arrest 4 Sex Offenders Who Refused to Register
WESLACO – Special agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division arrested four high risk sex offenders who refused to comply with the sex offender registration requirements.
Over the past few weeks, DPS special agents have conducted check-ups on the local registered sex offenders.
In the course of these verifications, they determined Carlos Gomez, Lazaro Rodriguez Saavedra, Juan Antonio Sosa and Tomas Aguirre all failed to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act.
Anyone who wishes to verify if there is a sex offender living in their neighborhood, the sex offender registration database may be accessed through the DPS website.
