DPS Traffic Stop in Edinburg Leads to Seizure of Narcotics
EDINBURG – The Texas Department of Public Safety seized narcotics during a traffic stop in Hidalgo County.
A DPS trooper stopped the driver of a black Chevrolet Cruze on Depot Road for a traffic violation.
The trooper then found four backpack style bags in the vehicle containing 72 packages of THC, multiple sheets of THC wax, two jars of mushrooms, 65 bags of cocaine, 60 tabs of LSD, 28 grams of Xanax bars and six bags and seven jars of marijuana.
The driver, 27-year-old Maria Cristina Gonzalez, an Edinburg resident, was arrested on four counts of felony manufacture.
She was transported and booked into the Hidalgo County Jail.
