SAN JUAN – A driver is behind bars after a chase through multiple cities.

San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said the pursuit went through a parade on Nebraska and Business 83 in San Juan.

Department of Public Safety Lt. Johnny Hernandez said the pursuit ended north of Expressway 83 on Tenth Street. That’s where the driver was taken into custody.

Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said the suspect’s vehicle got into an accident in McAllen.

Barrera said Palmview Police Department assisted La Joya and Penitas in the pursuit.

So far no word if anyone was hurt or why the driver was being chased.
