HARLINGEN – Harlingen police said the driver in last week’s deadly auto-pedestrian crash will not face charges.

Sgt. Larry Moore told CHANNEL 5 NEWS an elderly man was crossing the street when he was hit by a driver on Loop 499 and New Combes.

The driver did stop to administer aid after the crash.

Moore said the driver will not face charges because she wasn’t at fault for the accident.
