EDINBURG – An Edinburg man will serve more than 24 years in prison after he was convicted on child pornography charges.

In December, 29-year-old Carlos Benjamin Martinez pleaded guilty to production, receipt and distribution of child porn.

Authorities were tipped off to Martinez after investigating a suspect in Massachusetts.

Authorities discovered Martinez emailed several child porn images to that person.

Once released from prison, Martinez will remain under supervised release and must register as a sex offender.
