Equipment Failure to Blame for 8-Hour Long Power Outage in Mission

MISSION – An eight-hour long power outage took place in Mission on Monday.

A spokesperson for Oncor Electric Delivery tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS equipment failure caused the outage.

The problem traced to a McAllen substation.

About 2,400 customers were without power between 4:30 p.m. and midnight.
