SAN ANTONIO--Shelters are being set up in San Antonio due to Tropical Storm Harvey.
     Many evacuees may stay here longer than expected.
     "I'm basically homeless so this is kind of a blessing," said Thad Bruce from Corpus. He doesn't have funds for an apartment.
     "When I first got here I was a little bit down because I had to leave everything. You know that's stuff you can replace," said evacuee Elmer Griggs. 
      Griggs is not worried about his home of 15 years in Corpus Christi. He wants to help people like Bruce. 
      "It's pretty much my calling since I can't be out there doing it now. Gods blessed me with another calling to help people, I can counsel with them, encourage them and lift their spirits up," he said.      
     San Antonio emergency officials said more evacuees continue to come in. More than 1100 people are sheltered. The San Antonio mayor said they will not turn anyone away and are prepared for long term shelter.
