EDINBURG - Vela extended the Valley's longest regular season win streak in football to 12 games, and PSJA Memorial ended a 20-game losing streak with Thursday night victories to begin week five.  Vela defeated Edinburg North 52-14.  Memorial stopped PSJA North 17-7.  The win is the Wolverines' first in district since 2014.  In other district openers, Mission took care of La Joya 20-15 in 30-6A.  Hanna shutout Rivera 35-0 in 32-6A.  Rio Grande City rallied with two second half touchdowns to stay unbeaten at 3-0 in 31-5A.  The Rattlers defeated Roma 17-14.  In 32-5A, Edcouch Elsa took no prisoners in a 41-10 decision over Donna North.
