Flash Flood Watch in Effect for RGV

WESLACO - The Rio Grande Valley is under a flash flood watch till 9 p.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service reported Starr, Hidalgo, Cameron and Willacy counties will have heavy rainfall tonight.

They forecasted some locations will receive one to three inches of rainfall this afternoon. Saturated areas could possibly result in flash flooding.

The NWS is asking drivers to take precautionary measures in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
