Former Migrant Shelter Employee Behind Bars for Online Solicitation of a Minor

BROWNSVILLE – Cameron County authorities arrested a former Southwest Keys employee for online solicitation of a minor under 14.

Hugo Alberto Rodrigez, 31, was arrested Tuesday; he is accused of attempting to obtain sexually explicit material from a female minor who he met while employed at the Southwest Keys Program.

Rodriguez is charged with online solicitation of a minor under 14, a second degree felony that could land him two to 20 years in prison.

He is currently pending arraignment at the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center.
