Former Postal Employee Awaits Sentencing

MISSION - A former postal employee pleaded guilty to receiving bribe money in exchange for addresses of people voting by mail in Mission.

Forty-three-year-old Noe Olvera admitted in court Tuesday to accepting $1,000 for providing addresses during the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office race in 2014.

He is facing 15 years in prison and a possible $250,000 fine.

Olvera’s sentencing was set for May.
