The foundation of a new water tower can be seen going up in the city of La Villa.

According to City Manager Arnie Amaro, crews just started construction after planning for the project began four years ago.

Right now, La Villa only has the capacity to store about 150,000 gallons of water.

The new water tank will add an additional 100,000 gallons in water storage.
