Gov’t Looking for Contractors for Upcoming Project
WESLACO – The federal government is telling contractors to get ready for new border wall construction in the Rio Grande Valley.
The government is notifying potential contractors of what it’s calling an upcoming construction project to expand the border wall infrastructure across the Texas-Mexico border.
Tasks that it’s calling for will include new construction, maintenance and repairs of alterations of many things, including fences, walls, patrol roads, lights and gates.
The U.S. Army of Corps of Engineers, which is putting out the pre-solicitation, says awards to contractors for portions of these projects will range in the millions and small business are also eligible.
A notice is expected to go out on May 23.
