Granjeno Working to Rebuilding Community Center
GRANJENO – The city of Granjeno is still in the process of repairing its community center.
The center was damaged by straight line winds of a thunderstorm more than a year ago.
The city used the center for holiday celebrations, school supplies giveaways, and recreational activities.
Now, city officials are waiting for blue prints from the contractor they hired to complete the construction.
“We had to do some changes on it. So, we’re submitted the changes, our requests for the blue prints. He’s about to submit our second blue prints,” said Granjeno Mayor Yvette Cabrera.
Cabrera said the city is still waiting on a definite timeline for completion of the renovations.
The project will be paid for by insurance funds.
