Ground Beef Recalled Due to Deadly E. Coli Outbreak
WESLACO – A ground beef producer in Colorado has issued a recall due to a deadly E. coli outbreak.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Cargill Meat Solutions recalled nearly 133,000 pounds of ground chuck beef after one person died and 18 others fell ill.
The meat was produced June 21 and is distributed nationwide.
The agency says packages with an “EST. 86-R” inspection mark should be thrown away or returned to the store.
