Harlingen Police Warning of New Phone Scheme
HARLINGEN- Authorities in Harlingen are warning residents of a new phone scheme.
They say fraudulent callers are claiming to be with the police department, asking for donations.
In a press release, police said the department is not collecting donations at this time.
If you receive a call, try to write it down and report it to authorities.
The warning comes after other reports of fraudulent callers saying they were with the fire department.
