Harlingen Residents Say Changes to Road Causing Dangerous Conditions
HARLINGEN – New striping on a neighborhood road is causing confusion for some residents.
Harlingen city engineers put in new striping to define the direction of each lane at a busy intersection on Treasure Hills Blvd, but residents say its confusing drivers.
The lanes were put in a few weeks ago to alleviate traffic conditions in the area.
A “Y” intersection, as residents call it, is located between Haine Drive and 25th Street.
Harlingen City Engineer Ponciano Longoria says people who drive through there have had several safety concerns.
