Health Department Director Explains Dangers of Floodwaters
MERCEDES – Many homeowners are left to clean up the mess left behind by the flooding.
The health department is warning about the dangers of floodwaters.
Health Department director Eddie Olivares encourages people to avoid them if possible.
He says any food that came in contact with flood water, even if it’s sealed, should be considered contaminated and thrown out.
KRGV’s John Paul Barajas spoke with the director about precautions which should be taken.
