Homicide in Rural Donna
RURAL DONNA--The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Rural Donna.
Deputies said a homeowner shot and killed a burglary suspect.
Deputies were called to a home on the 6000 block of Ithaca St. in Rural Donna just before 4 a.m. They found a man with gun shot wounds on the street in front a home. That man was identified as one of the burglary suspects.
According to the Sheriff's office, the homeowner told deputies his home was burglarized a few hours before. He said the suspects returned for a second burglary attempt. Deputies say that's when the homeowner chased the suspects and shot at them, hitting one.
