Human Smuggling Suspect Captured Starr Co.
WESLACO - The U.S. Border Patrol said they captured a Mexican woman linked to a human smuggling operation.
Abigail De Angel was arrested in Starr County. She’s suspected of being part of an organization that smuggled 75 people into the U.S. illegally every week.
De Angel was previously removed for smuggling and being in the country illegally.
She was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
