Investigators Unable to Determine Cause of Artemis Square Fire
BROWNSVILLE – Brownsville fire investigators are unable to determine what sparked a fire that burned a restaurant to the ground two weeks ago.
Interim Fire Chief Derek Sheldon told CHANNEL 5 NEWS the damage was so extensive, investigators couldn't say without a doubt what sparked the blaze.
The restaurant, Mariscos Lauro Villar, was temporarily relocated to Elizabeth Street near Third Street.
The owners said it could be months before their location at Artemis Square is back up and running.
