Judge Denies Doctor be Released from Federal Custody
MCALLEN – The doctor accused of misdiagnosing patients for profit in the Rio Grande Valley went before a federal judge.
On Thursday, the request to release Dr. Jorge Zamora-Quezada was denied.
His attorneys were granted, however, more access to their client.
Zamora-Quezada’s lawyers will be able to take more equipment like computers and a projector, and will also ensure they’re allowed more time with the doctor.
The judge will hear a similar request on Friday for the doctor’s wife, Meisy Zamora.
