Man Arrested after Leading Police on Multi-City Chase
LOS FRESNOS – A man is behind bars after taking several police agencies on a high-speed chase through several cities in Cameron County.
The man was pulled over by Los Fresnos police for a traffic violation.
As an officer was walking to the black 4-door Chrysler, the driver took off initiating the pursuit at more than 100 miles per hour.
He led police into Laguna Vista and eventually San Benito. Road spikes were thrown out by police and eventually flattened the suspect vehicle’s tires.
The pursuit ended in the outskirts of San Benito.
The man is facing charges of suspicion of driving while intoxicated and evading arrest.
