Man Arrested at Alamo Hotel Officially Charged
ALAMO- An Edinburg man is officially charged following his arrest at an Alamo hotel Saturday.
Police Chief Baudelio Castillo tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS it happened on North Alamo Road.
The city's Major Crimes Unit seized 15.8 pounds of marijuana, 110 grams of cocaine, 5.59 grams of Xanax, handguns and $6,036 in cash.
41-year-old Fernando Garza is charged with second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and third-degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
He's also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
