MCALLEN – Additional security measures are in place after a man escaped from a Border Patrol facility.

Authorities say the man left the McAllen Ursula Border Patrol Center without permission.

Authorities say the man is not a threat to the public and does not have a criminal history.

The incident is still under investigation.
