Man Found Dead in Mission
MISSION – Investigators are the scene of a homicide in Mission.
According to a Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office statement on Twitter, the body of 20-year-old Gilberto Gaytan was found on Pradera Street north of La Homa Road and Mile 9 N.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra said Gaytan was run over by his 2-year-old daughter's grandmother after a custody dispute with the child's mother. The 2-year-old and her mother were also in the car.
An alert was issued out Thursday afternoon by the RGV Regional Alert System to help locate 2-year-old Lizsandra Jennica Gaytan, who was seen for the last time inside the getaway vehicle.
Sixty-eight-year-old Elizabeth Guerrero and 22-year-old Elizabeth K Morales were seen in a 2002 silver Acura MDX with license plate HJM-5905.
