MCALLEN – A McAllen firefighter was injured after his foot was ran over by another car.

According to McAllen Fire Chief Rafael Balderas, the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on 2nd St and Dove Ave.

He said two vehicles were involved in a collision and one of those vehicles hit the fire truck.The firefighter was taken to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.

No one else was injured.

The McAllen police chief said the driver of the other car may be charged with DWI.
