McAllen Officials Waive Permit Requirement for Home Repairs
MCALLEN – Clean-up efforts continue for those affected by flooding in the Rio Grande Valley.
City leaders are trying to make it easier for property owners during this time.
City McAllen officials announced on Monday that they are waiving the permit requirement for home repairs due to flooding only.
The Hidalgo County Director of Health and Human Services, Eddy Olivarez, says those who received flooding damage should be cleaning and disinfecting their homes as soon as possible.
The city recommends residents take photos to document all damages for future claims.
