McAllen Police Arrest 5 Suspects for Forgery, Drugs
MCALLEN – Police arrested five suspects on multiple charges after they responded to call at a McAllen bank.
Staff at a bank located on the 900 block of South 10th Street called police in regards to a stolen check.
Two male suspects, Jerome Elliott Ranallo and Roberto Juan Botello Jr., were contacted and subsequently detained.
Ranallo had an outstanding warrant of arrest for drugs from Kendall County and he was also charged with three counts of forgery. Botello was charged with three counts of possession of controlled substance.
The investigation led to the arrest of three other suspects at a hotel located at the 1500 block of South 9th Street.
Anastasia Castoreno was charged with forgery, Romero Gonzalo was charged with tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance and Brandon Martin Echavarria was charged with failure to identify.
Police seek to locate a wanted suspect, 31-year-old Kenny E. De La Rosa. He is believed to be driving a new model GMC pickup truck with paper license plates.
Officials said they recovered forged checks, forged identification cards, a skimming device, a laptop and drugs.
The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are pending.
