MCALLEN – Spherion Staffing Services is donating $2,000 to Court Appointed Special Advocates of Hidalgo County. Their donation is a part of its annual Community Give Back Program.

Spherion Staffing Services is a recruiting, staffing and workforce solution organization in McAllen. The franchise owners Vicki Koon and Sol Melton selected CASA of Hidalgo County as their 2016 donation recipient. The funds are to further the organization’s efforts to provide advocacy and legal representation for abused and neglected children throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Spherion’s contribution will support the work of volunteer advocates who ensure that all area children are housed within a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.

“The meaningful work of CASA of Hidalgo County impacts all of McAllen, providing resources and support that make a lasting impact on the lives of struggling children and empower them to ultimately reach their full potential,” said Koon. “CASA of Hidalgo County is an outstanding organization, and we are delighted to recognize and reward their current and future efforts to better our region as part of our Community Give Back program.”

Spherion’s national Community Give Back program recognizes and advances the work of local charitable organizations that put others first. As part of the program, each local Spherion franchise owner selects one or more nearby community organizations to receive a special contribution. Since starting the initiative in 2014, Spherion’s Community Give Back efforts have rewarded nationwide recipients with nearly half a million dollars during the holiday season.
