Mission Auto-Pedestrian Accident Leaves Elderly Woman Dead
MISSION –An auto-pedestrian accident early Friday morning left an elderly woman dead.
Mission police received a call around 6:40 a.m. regarding the accident. They said the woman was crossing eastbound on San Antonio Street at the intersection of Business 83.
A van was traveling westbound on Business 83 and began to turn south on San Antonio and the 61-year-old woman was then struck.
The accident is still under investigation, but authorities said alcohol and weather aren't factors in the accident.
Police said the victim was identified but they are waiting to contact the next of kin. The driver of the wasn't arrested.
