Mixed Emotions After Damage in Rockport
ROCKPORT--Residents in Rockport, Texas are reacting to damaged homes from Harvey.
John Bevington is one resident. CHANNEL 5 NEWS saw him walking to his house from his mother-in-law's place where he weathered the storm.
"But I wanted to first to stop by here to see if my rent house was in good shape. Which, it more or less is! So I'm very very thankful about that. That's one down, and about quite a few others to go," Bevington said.
Bevington said he is elated to be alive and unharmed.
Sarina Gonzalez, another resident, is traumatized.
"Everything was leaking and I kept saying if the roof is caving in! The roof is caving in!" she said.
People got trapped inside their homes and were later rescued.
