HOUSTON (AP) - The mother of a 7-year-old black girl killed when a driver shot into their car in Houston says the deadly attack happened so fast she didn't see anything "but shattered glass and bullets."

Authorities on Friday were still searching for the driver described as a white man, who fired into the car carrying Jazmine Barnes and her family as they were driving to a grocery store on Sunday.

Jazmine's family and community activists believe the shooting might be racially motivated but authorities have not yet determined a motive.

LaPorsha Washington, Jazmine's mother, said at a news conference Thursday she believes the shooting was intentional and not a case of mistaken identity.

Jazmine's death has prompted an outpouring of support for her family from people, celebrities and sports stars across the country.
