WESLACO – The federal government is rolling out a new program designed to boost the cotton industry.

The new Cotton Ginning Cost Share Program is aimed at offering support to cotton growers who were affected due to recent “farm bills”.

Anyone that’s been growing cotton for the past two years will be eligible to apply for a new government grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

You can visit the USDA’s website to apply starting March 12 until May 11
