Out-Of-Town Rescuers Assist Valley Residents During Floods

ALTON – Flood waters invaded the Rio Grande Valley bringing hardships to many locals. However, it also brought people from other places to help.

The San Antonio and Austin fire departments made their way down to our area as part of a group called Texas Task Force.

They were in Mercedes on Wednesday. On Thursday, they assisted in Weslaco and other cities.

KRGV’s John Paul Barajas rode along with them in their high water rescues.
