BATON ROUGE, La. – Lousiana State University's Manship School of Mass Communication will honor the accomplishments of several communication professionals as they are inducted into the Manship School Hall of Fame at its annual gala in April.

In its 44th year, the gala honors alumni and supporters who have achieved stellar accomplishments in their careers.

Richard, David and Doug Manship and Dina Manship Planche, known widely as the “first family of Baton Rouge media,” will join the Hall of Fame for their role in carrying on the Manship media legacy their grandfather, Charles Manship Sr., began in 1909.

They own WBRZ-TV and WBTR-TV in Baton Rouge and KRGV-TV in the Rio Grande Valley and have been ardent supporters of the Manship School.

Two other professionals and supporters, Richard Alario and William Dickinson, will also be inducted.
