WESLACO – A local pastor says railroad tracks running along the entrance to their church parking lot are causing big problems.

Pastor Refugio Galvan Jr. with Galvan Revivals Church in Weslaco says members of his congregation have complained of tire blowouts.

Galvan says he asked railroad workers to fix the issue.

“They said, ‘No, it’s not our responsibility. That’s your entrance, you take care of it,’” he says.

KRGV’s Trason Bragg reached out to a Rio Grande Valley Switching Company representative.

He says he was unaware of any reports but plans to send crews to evaluate the crossing in the days to come.
