Port Isabel Man Arrested in Connection to Two 2018 Cases

PORT ISABEL- A suspect in two cases stemming from 2018 is now being held on a $60,000 bond in Cameron County.

Police say Juan Jose Valdez kicked down a door at a home on East Railroad Avenue with the intent to assault someone inside back in March.

Valdez is also accused of causing injury to another person during an assault on South Shore Drive in July.

He's now charged with assault causing bodily injury and burglary of habitation.
