MERCEDES - Residents in one Mercedes neighborhood are preparing for Sunday night's storm.

There is a possibility of severe weather Sunday night to Monday morning. Two weeks ago, CHANNEL 5  NEWS talked to people on West Liberty Road. They were fed up with road construction that left streets in the neighborhood full of mud after a night of rain.

"We are waiting for whatever weather we get," said Mary Olivares, whose mother lives in the neighborhood.

Mercedes City Manager Richard Garcia said residents should not run into the same problem, because most, if not all, of the road has compacted caliche.
