RIO GRANDE CITY – The father of a murdered teen who was himself shot over the weekend is at a San Antonio hospital recovering. Rio Grande City police released details on a suspect vehicle in the case.

Rio Grande City Police Assistant Chief Jose Solis said Casimiro Olivarez’ condition is stable but still critical.

Olivarez’ son Chayse was found murdered this summer. The teen’s father was shot multiple times early Saturday morning outside of his home in Rio Grande City.

Solis added police now know the vehicle used for the shooting is a white Jeep Liberty, a model in mid-2000’s. It should have black molding on the doors and black trimming around the tires.
