WESLACO – Sanitation permits are being waived this week across the Rio Grande Valley.

It means people can toss their trash at no cost at any of the participating county dump sites. The move is part of the state’s annual country cleanup.

Before people head out, they should keep in mind some of the sites do not allow certain items like tires and oil.

The permit waiver will last until Easter Sunday.
